New Mexican Artisan Market Nov 23-25 a hand made in New Mexico event at Hotel Albuquerque preview party on friday This is a beautiful old hotel in Old Town . I'll be showing new Coreline's Closet Designs for cooler weather..and scarves!
Recycle Santa Fe Art Festival Nov 30th - Dec 2 some of the coolest artists in the WEST will be here with artwork from recycled stuff..I'll have great painted chairs and magical doors.

Bringing flowers into your home makes us happy. We'll cover impressionistic ways to represent flowers real and imagined in glorious colors ..I'm not a realistic painter so I like to allow for the mistakes and brushstrokes to bring out the playfulness and differences in petals and stems and bring our own imagination to a still life. We will have steps to follow but always there will be discoveries and layers of trial and error for me and you. Cold wax with oils as colorant will be added on top of acrylics both at a middle point of one work and end on another for you to see and use this material. It adds depth and surface.

I've used papers from gel plate prints as a background for small works..and in mixed media work. I'm interested in using gel plates on a larger surface to repeat a pattern. We'll make print papers then add collage and paint on top to find a surface we couldn't achieve without the plate.
Feb 14,15,16 "ALCHEMY OF STORY" dig deeper into imagery using your own memories to compose work that's more meaningful. Images from your own photos will be transferred to a glazed wood panel from which we can expand the image with collage and paints to make a moment or event you'd like to express.. This is like pulling a thought or dream out of the mist and into view. mat+lunch +field trip to ride horseback along the rio grand OR hike through nearby Petroglyph National Park where we can see other artists work of Alchemy of Story on the rocks above Albuquerque OR soak in hot mineral springs of the Jemez Mountains a short ride from the studio are included. 495.00 Reservations and deposits are required for all classes..intimate setting..small groups..call, text or email to reserve.
group "SIP & PAINT" sessions can be scheduled..great for family, wedding parties, birthdays, work partners. 2-3 hrs/ 45.00 per person materials included ..no experience needed. We'll decide on a subject together.
There are Air BnB and BnB's here in our historical village and it's a short 20 min hop to larger chain motels in Rio Rancho. Corrales has lots of history. Many buildings are old adobe brick. There's a beautiful church and museum to visit. We are the horse capitol of New Mexico ..lots of trails and horses..cute donkeys, coyote and road runners criss cross the paths. As a bonus we also have 4 local vineyards some with tasting rooms by appointment. So..lots to do besides create ..come make with me and spend some time in my neighborhood.
